In this article, I’m going to be taking an in-depth look at the Wealthy Affiliate (WA) platform to see if it can help affiliate marketeers take their online businesses to the next level… so is Wealthy Affiliate the real deal? Let’s find out…

What is Wealthy Affiliate

Wealthy Affiliate is an online training platform and community that helps people to learn affiliate marketing.

It has levels of training that are suitable for people with differing levels of knowledge – whether you’re completely new to affiliate marketing or you have some experience behind you.

Let’s take a look at what they have to offer in more detail.

Training

There are two types of training available at Wealthy Affiliate:

• Online Entrepreneur Certification
  • The Online Entrepreneur Certification (OEC) training is a 5 phase (50 lesson) series of courses walking you through the process of creating and growing a business within absolutely ANY niche that you want.

• Affiliate Bootcamp
  • The Affiliate Bootcamp training is a 7 Phase (70 lesson) series of courses walking you through the process of creating and establishing a business in a niche related to the promotion of Wealthy Affiliate.

If you already have a niche area that you are interested in and want to create a business promoting that (for example fitness) – then you will probably want to go down the OEC training route.

If however, you don’t have a niche area and don’t know where to start in terms of finding one – then Affiliate Bootcamp maybe the way forward for you.

That’s not to say you can’t do both courses, but you will want to start with one first – complete it, establish a website based on that training and then go down the other route and setup another website if you want to…

The training is very in-depth – it covers everything you will need to know, from setting up a wordpress website from scratch to writing high quality articles and getting your website ranked in search engines.

Listed below is some of the training that is covered in the courses:

• How to write high quality articles and reviews.

In addition to the training outlined above, there are several other benefits to becoming a wealthy affiliate member – I will outline some of them below.

Some of these benefits are available to starter members and some for a trial period only, but all of them are available to premium members.

Support

As a member, you will have access to a great deal of support.

There is 24 hour live support in the form of a live chat room with other members – many experienced members take part in this and often answer any questions that you have within minutes.

Site Support offers technical support for your websites and, again, you’ll often get a reply to any messages you send them within minutes.

There is also a Q&A area, where you can ask any questions that you have (no matter how basic or advanced) and someone within the community will send you an answer, normally within a few hours.

The founders of WA, Carson and Kyle, actively take part in the support and are often on hand to answer questions too – however most of the time, it will be other experienced members who will answer… as you can imagine with a community of over 1 million people, it’s not possible for two people to answer everyone’s questions.

Personal Mentoring

You will have access to an experienced personal mentor, who can help you every step of the way in setting up your website and making it a successful business.

Weekly Live Classes

Every week there is a live online class on a variety of subjects, ranging from how to improve your writing skills to the effective use of social media in your business.

The recordings of all of these live classes are available to view later at any time and are an invaluable addition to the main training course.

Keyword Research Tool

You will have access to one of the world’s most advanced keyword research tools, called Jaaxy.

You input keywords that you might want to use as the title of your post and Jaaxy will tell you how many competing websites are using those exact keywords, the likelihood of ranking on the first page of search engines for those keywords and what the average number of searches per month will be for those words.

Using this, you will be able to find the best keyword title for your post that can potentially get maximum traffic to your website.

In summary – Jaaxy will allow you to manage all aspects of your keyword, competition, and market research.

Site Content

You will have access to a platform within WA, where you can write your articles and posts.

This platform has a number of tools – such as templates for different types of content, spelling and grammar checker, word count and other useful features that can be used to manage and edit your posts before publishing them directly to your website.

The site content platform also has a duplicate content checker – this compares over 8 billion pages online to make sure that the content you are about to publish is unique… duplicate content is not good for SEO and it will negatively affect your website’s ranking in search engines.

WordPress Hosting

Wealthy Affiliate offers industry leading powerful and secure hosting for your website.

There are a multitude of useful and integrated tools for website analysis, management, ranking, increased site speed and security included within the platform.

Despite all this, the website platform is very easy to use, even for newbies… everything takes place behind the scenes.

The technology, security and 24 hour monitoring is taken care of by Wealthy Affiliate’s dedicated site support team, so you can concentrate on simply providing the content for your website.

This type of hosting elsewhere would normally cost about £200/month… for just one website – however it’s included in the WA premium membership for up to 50 websites!

Pricing

Pricing is very straight forward – there are three levels of membership – starter, premium and premium plus.

Starter membership is free and you get access to a number of things, including the first 10 lessons and 50 training modules in addition to a 7-day trial of many of the features available in the premium membership.

Premium membership costs $49/month or $495/year – the only other cost is the purchasing of your domain name for your website, which is typically in the region of $13/year.

Premium plus membership is a new feature and gives you a few extra benefits over premium membership, such as hosting for extra websites (50 instead of 10), 200+ live classes per year as opposed to 52+ live classes per year and Jaaxy Enterprise instead of Jaaxy Lite. Premium plus membership costs $99/month or $995/year.

And for this you get everything, the whole shebang… not hidden fees, not extras if you want to learn more… just three simple, transparent membership levels.

There are a great deal of success stories of Wealthy Affiliate members who have gone onto create very successful businesses – these can be found by searching on the Wealthy Affiliate platform, where members share their successes for others to view.

Conclusion

I’d researched a few different affiliate marketing platforms before I decided to go with Wealthy Affiliate and none of them compared to what Wealthy Affiliate has to offer for the price that it offers it at…

The premium plus membership is a new tier that has just been added and to be honest it’s too early to say whether the extra $50/month would be worth it…

It has been explained as being a bundle rather than an up-sell… so if you were to pay for the extra things included separately it would cost you a lot more – for Jaaxy Enterprise, you would be paying $99/month for that alone… and if you need more than 10 websites – then you get an extra 40, which again, elsewhere, would normally cost you $250/month to host just one.

For me the premium level membership has everything that I need at the moment and for the fixed price of $49/month – I get all the tools and help required to run my websites.

With many other platforms – there are hidden fees and the need to keep upgrading if you want to learn more or gain access to more resources.

In my opinion Wealthy Affiliate is one of, if not the best platform out there for learning about affiliate marketing and then going onto manage all aspects of your online business.

The website hosting platform is worth the $49/month alone… never mind all the other benefits and resources that you get for that price.

Bottom line – you’ve got nothing to lose… join for FREE and take advantage of the free training that’s on offer – if it’s not for you, you will have learnt something and it won’t have cost you a penny… but if you’re serious about wanting to start up an affiliate business, then I’m pretty sure you’ll like what’s on offer and you’ll want to upgrade to the premium or premium plus membership.
